Here we go again, someone did confess to me that he/she is a virgin and I couldn't help but not to believe. Well, pardon me for saying that... but I've not hear someone confessing their virginity in a very long time. During my highschool days, virginity is a hot topic... the guys will be guessing who are the virgins... the shy girls will be keepin' their secret as long as possible... and the non-virgin girls will be pretending that they are openly, just for more ooomph!



But hey, I'm 28 now and almost everyone I know is already working or in college. Not so many cherries in the farm anymore *lol*. Suddenly a virgin cherry pops out of nowhere... one big '?' appeared on my head . That is also because that person is attractive, which makes it harder for me to hold my second thought.

However, it is great to hear someone have hold it off... not for any other reason other than their own choice. Since alot of our problems comes from sexual relations, I guess there are some perks to being virgin. But I also realize that it must be quite awkward being one when everyone is almost not.

Is it still an honour being a virgin?

Is it still practical at our fast paced life in the city?

Do people still believe if you are?

How different does it makes you if you are?

I don't know. But most people hold on to their virginity for one main reason, and that is for the sanctity of their marriage with another.



I guess the biggest question is if you've waited til you're 30 and you give it to the one, what happens if he/she leaves you then?

Generally if you are a girl it doesn't matter. In fact it is a bonus to a lot of guys.

Now if you are a guy and you are a virgin thats different. Generally if you haven't lost your virginity at lets say...20 women will think something is wrong with you. Its a turn off for them. I'm saying generally, because there are some women that are totally cool with it, but I think they are the minority. Guys, if you are a virgin, its generally safer to not say anything about it.
I'm not saying being a virgin makles you better or worse but theres a stigma attached to being a virgin in American culture, and thats very unfortunate. It's the du,best cultural standard ever but thats the price you pay for living here.

It doesn't matter to me, really. It would be desirable, yes, but if it's not practical then it's no big issue. Like in many things, I'm pragmatic this way. But it doesn't mean that I have no boundaries or values. Certainly if I learn that the girl I'm going out with is a trollop I'd terminate the relationship at once. The term "trollop" is open to interpretation of course, but if she's been with more guys than I can count on both hands, then I'd be wary of starting anything.



With a virgin it should be easier to establish a firm foundation for a lasting relationship because for one thing you'll have to try pretty damn hard to get into her pants if that's your ultimate goal. If she's still a virgin (and has dated before) she must have some pretty strict guidelines or strong morals (i.e. wanting to reserve it for a "special someone) so even if you're in it for the sex you will have put some effort into getting to know her better. Who knows? All that talking and time spent together could work itself into a marriage.

However, with a girl who's quite "active," dating can easily mean a one night-er because you'll know ahead of time that odds are she'll jump into the sack with you after one evening or two. After that anything can happen. But since there was no aim at "working" toward sex, a pairing this will be less development oriented and the chances of something meaningful coming out of it are reduced.

In any case for the possibility of a good long-term relationship I'd rather date a girl with strong moral fibre, equally resilient values, and steadfast integrity. Fun and casual dates leading to several sessions of mattress olympics will require a different type of candidate, naturally. ;) But life is strange and sometimes your carefree bedmate may turn out to be long-term material. Hard to say.

The Last Stroke

Two days ago, my friend who is in a relationship for 6 years plus have been seeing another for almost a year.



To him it was just casual, but to the 3rd party... it was a cruel one year of waiting for him to break off with his girlfriend (which he promised).

This was what she wrote in her last message to him:-

Fishing Love

Yesterday a friend of mine shared his views on why he rather remain single after he has been out of an 8-years relationship. Just another one of those conversations with regards to the 'biggest problem and also meaning in life' - the thing we call 'LOVE'.



The one true thing that most of us seek to find, or at least want to feel some at some point in time or another.

What he said was "It is hard to get back the same feelings as it was before". And true to that, it might never be like it was before. What to do, heart already pecah into gazillion pieces... take time one mah.



Well, sometimes taking time is not that bad after all... it just means that we are taking a break... and in time, some of us may realize that we have enough breaktime... and some still busy wandering and taking our time getting out of love.



To those that have put in the key in the ignition and wants to start the journey once again... I know how it feels. It feels like you don't know where to go, and maybe you don't even know why you're doing this again. Well maybe it is because of this.

LOL. Its ironic. Something so great can be so destructive. But I think the question is 'is love so bad?' or 'are we just too weak' to take it in as a whole, with its good and with its bad.



Can we compromise with one another?
