it is 4.23am in egypt. and i am awake! thanks to my faithful-egyptian-anonymous-miss-callers (note the S there) who simply love to miss call me during this whee hours disturbing my sleep. and nice dream.
it's funny how my new phone number travels so fast throughout egypt in less than five months. am getting weird calls in the middle of the night. and i am calling all of it weird because i couldn't understand what the caller was saying because he was talking in arabic. who is normal to make miss call at two am people?
psh! don't you people have anything better than to call me disturbing my sweet dreams?
thinking about getting a new number but it will cost me too much. with loads of necessary and unnecessary procedures. seriously, hotlink should think about starting their line here. sure they will gain untung like crazy one. here, they still use the old system in malaysia one.
remember those times when we had to buy those sim packs. how much it costed you that time? about 50 bucks wasn't it? and now how much it is? the last time i knew in malaysia is RM6. or is it less now? i don't know. and i still remember the period i named as 'sms fever'. every company(actually the real fight was between hotlink and digi. celcom was out of the league) was fighting for the lowest price until the cheapest price for an sms is 1 cent. and then a new plan was started by hotlink also. the monday mania or something like that (sorry for wrong use of term because i didn't use maxis when i was in malaysia actually. was using digi) where you can sms for thousand and get charge for only 1 buck!
and you want to know how is the system here in egypt?
first of all there are two choices for you to choose from. vodafone and mobilenil. i chose vodafone for some obvious reason it is easier to connect worldwidely and that of course means, me calling malaysia. and yes there are topup cards here. egypt is not that ketinggalan zaman.
but....
if you buy a 25 pounds recharge card, you know how much you gonna pay for it? 30 pounds! and you know how much credit you get? only 22.50 pounds. and some more they deduct 7 pounds from your account every month for some stupid sewa thing. so the net amount left for you to call or message is 15.50 egypt pounds.
and the last time i called my mum just to wish her happy anniversary, i remembered i talked for less than a minute. and i got deducted a jolly 8 pounds for that!
honestly, vodafone is a fucking money making company that sucks away people money! bah!
so hotlink here am i begging you, please, please, please, please, pretty please, to start you line here? at least for the malaysian students. won't ya?
i might as well wish for a nasi lemak stall by the road sold by a malaysian mak cik as much as i am wishing for hotlink here.
note: sorry peeps for my first post here is a rant. bwahahahaha! oh, by the way, didn't you realise that i am pinksterz ? haha.
